Members of parliament from Bunyoro sub region have urged that the government is treating their region unfairly by failing to make their region benefit failure from the oil revenue.
It is stated that there is no clear return that the central government of Uganda returns to Bunyoro for the benefit of the locals in Bunyoro. It is said that all the revenues is carried away to other regions like Buganda and western Uganda. And the same matter also members of parliament from Karamoja are threatening to quit NRM from what they call land grabbing by NRM officials and also unfair distribution of their wealth (gold) which is being mined in their area.
Therefore the MPs from Bunyoro and Karamoja have come to a consensus of joining hands to fight NRM if the government doesn’t want to intervene in the unequal distribution of resources to the benefit of all their locals.
