Uganda public has started reacting bitterly on the changing names of the Activists for Change (A4C) and For God and My country (4GC). The public views the changing of names as being unserious and untrue to the liberation cause.

The public does believe that there is no need of changing any name for the activists because a man ready for liberation of his country is a man ready to defend whatever is right.

The public also say that Nelson Mandela (former President of South Africa) was mistreated, imprisoned and he was forced to change ANC but he refused. Therefore our activists must not be changing names but they must address issues, and stand up to defend the challenges not changing the names. Many Ugandans have been overheard as saying that changing the name from A4C to 4GC is being compromised by the ruling NRM.

The A4C changed the name to 4GC after the government banned all the activities of A4C.
