Recommended foods for herpes (kisipi) patients

 

Consume foods that are rich in the amino acid L-lysine, as they may inhibit herpes virus replication. These include legmes, fish, turkey, chicken and most vegetables.

Others are bell peppers, Brussels sprouts, broccoli, potatoes and other brightly colored vegetables and fruits provide vitamin C and bioflavonoid that help heal the skin.

Fish such as salmon, nuts and seeds provides essential fatty acids that are necessary for tissue repair. Herpes are family of viruses that include more than 70 known members. The most common one that human beings encounter include herpes simplex 1 and 2, Epstein-Barr virus, vericella zoster and cytomegalovirus. The causes of herpes are sexual contact, immunity system suppression and nutritional deficiencies.
