How hepatitis B is prevented

Hepatitis B virus vaccines are very effective. In 2002, the health ministry incorporated the Hepatitis B virus vaccination in to the infant immunization schedule.

So when the children grow into adults, they will be protected for effective protection.

One requires three dozes and the dozes are taken in 3 phases. The first time one month to six months, the person suffering from this disease must have received drugs.

Hepatitis B vaccine is available in pharmacies aroundUganda. A single doze of hepatitis B drugs costs 40,000 shillings with the entire doze costing 120,000 shillings.

There is no cure for hepatitis B virus but there are treatments which can suppress the virus and prevent the liver infection from spreading.
