In its plans to improve the city and get rid of congestion, Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) we hear has informed all drivers and vehicles owners operating in Kampala or passing through Kampala city, that it has extended the registration exercise of taxis, busses, lorries, pickups, and other vehicles in the categories to Friday 27th, July 2012.
The KCCA director Jenifer Musisi urges all owners of vehicles in that category to ensure that they are registered as stipulated. In addition, they must ensure that they sign all accompanying documents to avoid any inconvenience that may cause failure to register their vehicles.
Ms Musisi says that the Drivers or vehicles owners should contact KCCA revenue officers in all the division of Kampala or any KCCA offices in the parks to get forms for registration and any further guidance on the matter.
The KCCA also advises all people whose cars are in garages or those who wish to bring them to operate in Kampala in future to go for registration. This is to enable KCCA to plan well for the city in regards to parking and movement of vehicles in and around Kampala.
