New Zealand Development Scholarships: Open category (NZDS-Open) are offered to candidates from Kenya, Mozambique, South Africa, Tanzania, and Zambia.
Preference will be given to applicants from disadvantaged communities.
New Zealand Development Scholarships are a central part of the New Zealand Government’s development cooperation programme in Africa.
The NZDS scheme offers the opportunity to people from developing countries to study in priority sector courses at New Zealand universities.
Scholarships are offered for postgraduate study at the Postgraduate Diploma, Masters or Doctorate (PhD) levels. (Study at PhD level will only be considered where particularly strong development relevance is demonstrated).
Undergraduate degree level study is not offered.
Up to 14 New Zealand Development Scholarships are given to the region with as equitable a spread as possible across all five eligible countries.

ACCES Scholarship Program: The African Canadian Continuing Education Society (ACCES) is a non-profit agency that supports Kenyan students by providing post-secondary scholarships.
The mission of frican Canadian Continuing Education Society (ACCES) is to help young Africans obtain the skills and education needed to benefit themselves and their society.
The scholarships are for study at Kenyan universities and technical colleges.
In addition, frican Canadian Continuing Education Society (ACCES) runs primary literacy centres and HIV/AIDS awareness programs.
frican Canadian Continuing Education Society (ACCES) donors have helped each one by donating $400 per year or $35 per month to cover tuition fees and accommodation.
The scholarships are for the “bright and needy Kenyan youth.”
