Salongo Jafari Kakonge Bidandi Sali, the younger brother to former local government minister, Bidandi Sali has died. Kakonge has kicked the bucket at a time when even his elder brother, Bidandi Sali is severely ill.
The death of Kakonge was confirmed by Bidandi Sali’s family but was announced by the residents and Muslims of Mawanga Mosque in Munyonyo, Kampala.
The deceased was also an uncle to one of the Muslim clerics Hajji Umar Kakonge. Late Kakonge was buried on IDD day at their ancestral home at Kyabadaza in Butambala district.
But the central government sent condolences to the big family of Bidandi Ssali, whose ailment could not allow him to burry his brother, Hajji Umar Kakonge and Hon. Hussein Kyanjo who was not only a friend to the deceased but also an immediate neighbor.
