As the presidential succession battle rages on in the NRM with many people starting to pick interest to take the party’s top job after Museveni, the president has started marketing his blue eyed boy prime minister John Patrick Amama Mbabazi indirectly.

This has been through indirect attacks to Amama Mbabazi by the president including telling him to step down as the party’s secretary general. Its believed that president Museveni can not let Mbabazi go anywhere but he is trying to market him as it has been the policy in NRM party that whoever disagrees with Museveni, turns out to be the right candidate in the party and outside NRM.

This has been very evident as portrayed by Col. Kiiza Besigye’s fall out with Museveni that has made him a hero. And this has raged on even with the likes of Mugisha Muntu and Former Vice President, Prof. Gilbert Bukenya is also seen as taking the same political trend. And this has prompted President Museveni to act in the same direction so as to market Amama Mbabazi.
