Outgoing president general of Forum for Democratic Change (FDC), Col. Kiiza Besigye has called upon opposition politicians to fundraise for ms Brenda Nalwendo, the pregnant woman whom Uganda police shot last year while she was on her way to attend antenatal services.
“We should fundraise for Ms Brenda Nalwendo, who was hit by Uganda police bullets,” Besigye says. The police shot Ms Nalwendo in Kajansi on Kampala-Entebbe road.
Dr. col. Besigye says that due to unfulfilled promises by president Museveni’s government, Uganda government and Uganda police to treat Ms Nalwendo after she gave birth, he (Besigye) was approached by Ms Nalwendo for help to meet her expenses for a necessary trip to India where surgery is expected to be performed on her.
It was also unveiled that the people who want to send assistance to this lady may do so using bank Account Nos 5800547399 (Barclays Bank) and 1003100424644 Equity Bank.
