Muslims around Uganda want to demonstrate against the murders of Muslim clerics supporting the breakaway Muslim faction. The leaders of the Muslim communities say they want to organize demonstrations in Uganda because this is the only weapon the people of Uganda have got at the moment.
“Somebody in Museveni’s government is killing us,” says one of the top Muslim leaders who requested not to be named in this news report for fear of being persecuted by the government.
The cleric said that today the killers killed Sheikh Sentamu, Imamu Yunus in busoga and Sheikh Sekimpi but tomorrow they may target Prince Kasimu Nakibinge, supreme Mufti Sheikh Zubair Kayongo and Imam Kasozi etc.

No police report, not even a preliminary briefing has been issued in the matter of Ssentamu’s murder/assassination.
Prince Kassim Nakibinge tasked the inspector general of police, Kale Kayihura for a timely explanation over the death of Muslim leaders. During Sunday’s Eid Prayers, there were mainly two issues: the assassination of Muslim leaders/influential personalities and the Marginalization of Muslims in Uganda. It was also said that Sheikh Ssekimpi who died of ‘natural causes’ could have died of induced hypertension, which can be result by a certain type of chemical reaction.
Sheikh Yunus was a Salafi Sheikh who was taught by the late Ssentamu until they became colleagues and he had maintained the Masjid where he was Imaam until his assassination the day before Eid El Fitr.
