Gen. Mugisha Muntu’s money divides FDC camps

Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) is currently reported to be facing financial constraints as it moves ahead to organize the FDC Party Presidency.
But Gen. Mugisha Muntu, one of the candidates in the race to replace Col. Kiiza Besigye as FDC party president is reportedly having a flamboyant campaign- the president Museveni way of spending money during campaigns.
The FDC delegates have started asking where he is getting the funds because he has failed to pay his monthly remits to the party for a long time but he is spending in campaigns like a king or bank governor.
The FDC members wonder that if a candidate fails to remit his contribution to the party yet he has no entrepreneurship skills where is he getting the money.
One FDC delegate in Buganda yesterday wondered that is Mugisha Muntu not selling the party already to their opponents in the NRM?
We have been told that Mugisha Muntu’s camp calls the party supporters with robot calls urging them to support Muntu to take over the party presidency. Most of the people baffled by the way Muntu is coughing money are in the camp of MP Nandala Mafabi.
Mafabi’s supporters ask why Muntu failed to bring the money when the party needed it like his opponent Nathan Nandala-Mafabi who paid for women contestants in the last parliamentary elections. Nandala’s supporters further claim that their man is paying rent for most FDC offices at the grassroots in the country.
But Muntu’s camp says that Nandala’s camp, the man from Elgon is mastering the game of dirty politics.
