I am the woman MP for Kampala. My names are Nabila Sempala. I want to share a very worrying trend in my party, the Forum for Democratic Change (FDC).
FDC is infiltrated by NRM impostors claiming to have knowledge of the party and its activities! I will not beat about the bush because that’s an item that the FDC National Executive Committee (NEC) members talked about during the recent burial of our party spokesman for Oyam district. One individual’s name came out! We don’t know his intentions but for the sake of the party unity, it would be good for him to keep a respectable distance for speaking authoritatively about internal and high level issues of the FDC party! He has never even been to the Party Headquarters nor is he known to any NEC member! He has never participated in any FDC activity nor is he known to belong to any league, constituency structure, and District structure. If he’s a supporter, he could write as such but we are afraid that he could be an infiltrator who wants to portray himself as an inner party- organizer! More information will be brought out about him and a few like him who have been hired to act as Opposition authority figures, who will then later denounce the parties! That is a very dangerous trick! So please own up or withdraw from the internal commentaries of the party! For clarity on the above, I have quoted a few guidelines: A political party is a political organization that typically seeks to influence government policy, usually by nominating their own candidates and trying to seat them in political office. Political Parties participate in electoral campaigns and educational outreach or protest actions. Parties often espouse an expressed ideology or vision bolstered by a written platform with specific goals!
An individual who volunteers for, is employed by, or helps to establish and operate a political party is known as a party organizer/administrator, also known as the party activist or party worker.
