Nadduli clashes with opposition supporters in Butambala
By Walakira on September 4, 2012
Butambala County parliamentary by elections draws closer, each day it becomes politically hotter now that the National Resistance Movement (NRM) Vice chairman in charge of Buganda kingdom/region, Abdul Nadduli is heading the NRM flag bearer in the race, Faisal Ssali Kikulukunyu.
Nadduli has vowed that if voters in Butambala vote the NRM candidate in the race, they will now afford to get access to Bonna Bagaggawale (prosperity for all funds).
But the government critics wonder how NRM always take Ugandans for granted as if the citizens are fools.
They allege that the NRM Government failed to deliver the empty prosperity for all programme as envisaged in the NRM manifesto in 2006 and 2011 will Nadduli single handedly do it? They ask that is Nadduli’s Luweero district well off with Bonna baga ggawale funds? Isnt Hajji Nadduli the man who promised Buganda to go to extinction Kingdom if the people of Bukoto South in greater Masaka don’t vote NRM’s Alintuma Nsambu?
One of the FDC activists, Mulindwa Warid Lubega says that now Ugandans are used to Nadduli’s weird political rhetoric. But he says that the fact is that the Muslim enclave of Butambala this time wont be deceived because the general discontent among Ugandans is that the NRM regime hasn’t delivered so just as people of Kasese, Jinja East, Luweero, Entebbe, Bukoto south did by voting out the NRM establishment.
The DP candidate in Butambala by elections, Muwanga Kivumbi asks the voters to re echo the resounding rejection of NRM’s Kikulukunyu. Muwanga alleges that Kikulukunyu hasn’t spoken anything be it in plenary session of the 9th parliament or in committees. Muwanga asks the people of Batambala to vote him as opposition’s joint candidate so as Butambala gets a vocal voice and an advocate in the 9th parliament.
