Prof. Kanyeihamba advises Museveni not to campaign for NRM candidates in by elections

Retired Justice Prof. George Kanyeihamba has advised politicians vying for MP seats in the ongoing parliamentary by elections around the country on the National Resistance Movement (NRM) ticket not to invite president Museveni on their campaign rallies.
The retired judge says that wherever Museveni has gone to campaign for his party candidates since February 2011 those candidates have lost the polls to either Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) or the Democratic Party (DP). He says that the NRM loss in by elections doesn’t mean that the party is unpopular but because president Museveni’s leadership has lost grip on the population.
Kanyeihamba says that people are tired (abantu bakoowu) of president Museveni’s leadership.
The retired justice says that: “”if I were an MP campaigning, I can’t allow president Museveni to the place where I am campaigning from because the president will come with a bad omen.”
Some people in government and on opposition have started also to describe president Museveni as an agent of losing when it comes to parliamentary by elections.
