The leader of opposition in parliament Nandala Mafabi who is currently contesting alongside Maj. Gen. Mugisha Muntu and Tororo Municipality MP Geoffrey Ekanya to replace Col. Kiiza Besigye as Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) president is in Kyenjonjo district meeting party delegates.
Nandala asked FDC leaders and supporters to support his candidature to replace Besigye. But some of the party delegates asked him why he doesn’t leave Muntu to takeover from Besigye since he (Nandala) is still young and has more time to lead the party in future.
In retaliation Nandala told them that the youth are the leaders of tomorrow and that his tomorrow has come. Mafabi assured the FDC delegates that he will build strong and functional party structures that will help the party win next general elections.
