Information coming in here indicates that president Museveni is so grateful to Francis Mwijukye, an aide to Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) party President Col. Kiiza Besigye who a few weeks ago delivered 8 inch mattress to a health centre in his constituency, Buhweju in Bushenyi district.

Museveni says Mwijukye has a heart of NRM which wishes others good health, education for all and prosperity for all. No wonder, Museveni says that Mwijukye was born during the NRM regime.

The president says that Mwijukye’s gesture needs to be emulated by all Ugandans including Besigye.

“Do not wait for the government, do something for the people if you have capacity to do so,” he says.

Museveni says that local leaders and opinion leaders can join government in identifying some needs of the society they can work on at every health unit and schools in their areas. Issues like giving supplementary pay or food for nurses that are hard working, renovating and painting the health units and schools and ensuring that drugs are not stolen and orders are made on time.
