Monday has been hot in Busia district in eastern Uganda as business came to standstill as one of Forum for Democratic Change (FDC)’s presidential candidate Nandala Mafabi entered the town. The race to replace Col. Kiiza Besigye as the FDC party president has three candidates: Nandala Mafabi, Maj. Gen. Mugisha Muntu and MP Geoffrey Ekanya.
Mafabi started in the morning by meeting FDC delegates in Busia district hall where the delegates pledged their support to him come 22nd November 2012.
Then Mafabi headed to Busia Taxi Park where he received a warm reception on a red carpet and he addressed a number of issues and pledged to strengthen FDC so as it takes state power. However some of the FDC supporters in Busia accused Nandala of not picking his phone calls whenever they want him.
Other speakers included Busia Municipality MP and Eastern region Vice chairperson Kevina Wandera Wanaha.
