It is said that in America when one makes fun of blacks and that person is not black (an African), s/he is considered as a racist and is punished.

When one offends a gay person(s), that person is charged with a hate crime and is either fined or imprisoned or do both.

When s/he makes fun of Jews and or their religion Judaism or don’t outwardly show respect for the victims of the holocaust, that person become an anti-Semite and is punished.

But it is said that when one ridicule Islam and the Prophet Muhammad (upon who be peace), it is taken as free speech.”
