The government has called on various stake holders to support the skilling Uganda program to help create opportunities for the youth.
The education and sports minister Jessica Alupo says there is need to change attitudes of most communities to make them more responsive to vocational and technical education.
She was speaking during a dialogue between the ministry of education and the media ahead of the official launch of the skilling Ugandan Strategic Plan to be held tomorrow in Jinja.
The program is intended to equip most Ugandans majority of whom are young people with skills to make them self reliant.
The program is expected to cost government up to two trillion shillings over the next ten years.
