Forum for Democratic Change leader Kiiza Besigye has this evening been released after he was detained for over 6 hours.

Police this morning arrested Besigye at Blue Room along Namirembe Road as he tried to walk through town.
He was then taken to the Central Police Station where he was held for several hours before being transferred to Kiira Road Police Station.
He was released without charge but was cautioned against involvement in any activities relating to the 4GC walk to freedom campaign.
