The government has been blamed for making preparations to commemorate Uganda Golden Jubilee celebrations partisan.
Kawempe North MP Latiff Ssebagala says whereas marking the 50 years of Uganda’s Independence is a national issue reflecting the entire country’s past, the arrangement and activities for the National celebrations are being dominated by the NRM ruling party.
Ssebagala says the NRM ruling party has taken advantage of having presided over the country’s fifty years to ignore other key players and instead dominate all the programs to mark Uganda’s golden jubilee.
Refering to the jubilee activities conducted by the Parliament of Uganda, Ssebagala says the central organizing committee should have borrowed a leaf to include people outside the NRM party.
About the next fifty years of Uganda, Ssebagala seem not to be convinced about the country’s future unless the current vices of bad governance are solved.
