Drama ensued at the Democratic Party headquarters this morning when a group of the newly elected members of the youth wing attacked the senior officials.
This was during the weekly party news conference held at City House.
Led by the group spokesman, Alex Waiswa, the youth are accusing the senior party members of failing the youth wing leadership by clinging onto power.
Waiswa says that many of the senior members have refused to vacate their former positions in the youth wing.
Pointing to former youth chairman, Kenneth Paul Kakande, the group asked the party president to intervene and streamline the party leadership to avoid further wrangling within in the party.
Meanwhile before the fracas, Kakande had addressed the media disowning the group and described it as illegal.
