Luwero district Woman MP Brendah Nabukenya is not taking the court decision lying down.
She has decided to file an appeal with the High Court over her quashed application for criminal summons against the Chief of Defence Forces, Gen Aronda Nyakairima.
Nabukenya had gone to court accusing the General of making comments about the possibility of a military coup.
Nakawa Court Chief Magistrate Joyce Kabagye yesterday dismissed the application for criminal summons saying that her court did not have the jurisdiction to handle cases of treason.
She also cited the absence of an LC 1 letter from the complainant’s lawyers.
Nabukenya says however says she is optimistic that she will get justice because her case is valid and that no one is above the law.
