In Uganda’s A-level examination results, a few new upcoming senior secondary schools continue to distinguish themselves as winners and best performers.
These schools include St. Mary’s SS Kitende (with 37 quadruple-As), Uganda Martyrs SS Namugongo (17 quadruple As), and St. Mary’s College Kisubi (4 quadruple As).
Other schools that performed better were Namilyango College (3 quadruple ‘As)’, Mt. St. Mary’s College Namagunga (4 quadruple), Nabisunsa Girls School (4), Naalya SS Bweyogerere (5 quadruple-As) and Seeta High (with 4 quadruple-As).
Now one wonders what happened to traditional schools like King’s College Buddo, Kibuli S,S, Kawempe S.S, Gayaza Girls. Are the current head teachers to blame for their decline or something else in a mess?
