Countries like America, United Kingdom and South Africa where many Ugandans migrate to get odd jobs are worried after researches revealed that 45% of the Ugandan youths wherever they are live on drugs and alcohol.
This is contained in the research findings collected by Uganda Youth Development Link (UYDEL). The programmes director of UYDEL, Rogers Mutaawe says that the majority of the Ugandan youths consume alcohol, opium and marijuana among others.
Mutaawe says that the number of youth living on drugs and alcohol is increasing in Kampala.
The youths who consume alcohol and drugs need more rehabilitation, counseling and psychosocial support treatment in order to bring them to normal life.
