Uganda traders
The Uganda National Bureau of Standards has vowed to eliminate all counterfeit products off the market by mid next year.
Counterfeit products have been a challenge to the bureau this year with traders blaming it on lack of a substantial managerial board of the bureau.
Speaking to Journalist Bureau Executive Director Ben Manyindo revealed that now that they have a full board, they are to increase the number of field inspectors for daily surveillance exercises in Markers.
Manyindo says emphasis will be put on electronics and eatables.
