Yellow fever is caused by AEDES AEGYPTI MOSQUITO. It can be identified by its white dots. It is an early morning or late afternoon feeder but can also attack at night.
Aegypti Mosquito is found in tropical parts of South America, the Caribbean and Sub-Sahara Africa. You can catch this disease if you are bitten by this insect.
Symptoms of yellow fever usually develop with in 3 days and these are yellowing of the eyes or the skin, headache, fever and loss of appetite.
The virus can also cause further complications especially the liver. This fever hurts the liver most, and when it’s not able to function properly, the toxins soar through the body leading to pain and consequently damaging the body according to the World Health Organisation (WHO). Other complications can also include kidney failure, seizures, coma and vomiting blood.
