Foods that may help you sleep well

Whole grain bread, carbohydrate-rich foods trigger insulin production which induces sleep by speeding up the release of tryptophan and serotonin to brain chemicals that relax you and send you to sleep.
Bananas, potassium and magnesium are natural muscle relaxants and bananas are good source of both. Bananas also contain the amino acid L-tryptophan which gets converted to 5-HTP in the brain.

The 5PHT in turn is converted to serotonin (a relaxing neurotransmitter and melatonin). Scientists say that when and irregular sleep pattern sets in the peoples’ daily routine and ability to function effectively well is disrupted. An irregular sleep pattern is a sign of a sleep disorder. Lack of quality sleep impact on a person’s energy, emotional balance productivity and or wellbeing. Failure to have enough sleep can result in accidents and injuries in some instances.
