President Museveni has lashed out at different former Mayors of Kampala who he says decided to sale off different markets to investors instead of leaving them to benefit the low income earners.
This as he commissioned the Wandegeya market that was constructed by government through the funding of the African Development Bank to a tune of 21bn.
Museveni mentions John Ssebaana Kizito and Al Hajji Nasser Ntege Ssebagala who he says used their regime to sell off the markets that would benefit the local people.
He orders that now the markets in Kampala be under KCCA and that whoever works in these Markets should be renting a stall so that every person benefits from them than lying in the hands of a few vendors who claim to be owners of the markets.
He appreciated the work done at the new Wandegeya market and attacked those who were sabotaging the project
