Uganda has accepted to increase its soldiers fighting against Al Shabaab fighters in Somalia on request of the African Union (AU).
The development comes after the Islamic terrorists are plotting to recapture the territories that the Ugandan soldiers had grabbed from them in Mogadishu.
Uganda is planning to increase its operations in Somalia by 20% in order to carryout its fight against al Shabaab well.
According to UPDF sources, Kenya and Burundi will also double their deployment in Somalia by 5% each.
The African Union mission on peace and Security Council want Uganda, Kenya and Burundi to at least increase their operations in Somalia to least by 17,731 soldiers in total. Uganda was the first African country to deploy her troops in Somalia followed by Burundi and Kenya respectively.
