Civil aviation authority has today commissioned its 20 year master plan study that is geared at improving the sector’s facilities country as well as improving on its work force to cost over US.$.273000 and will be complete by February next year.
Speaking at the commissioning of the five months study, the prime minister, Rt. Hon. John Patrick Amama Mbabazi stressed the need to have precious planning for air transport if the country is to register faster growth but was quick to express disappointment that there is little marketing done by Ugandans for their country abroad to attract foreigners down to Uganda.Cue.Mbabazi.Eng.
Meanwhile, the transport and works minister, Abraham Byandala has welcomed the move by CAA saying it will boost other sectors in the country and hence lead to faster economic growth.Cue.
And the managing director, CAA, Dr. Rama Makuza reveals that this plan will give the country’s aviation industry a new look as most of the facilities will have to change their face value, have them expanded, equipped with modern machines among others.
The five months study will be done by Ineco civil aviation consultants an international aviation consultancy firm.
