How AIDs cause infertility in women

 

AIDS doesn’t only slim people; it may also cause infertility in some women. Hyperprolactinemia, if its prolactin levels are high and the woman is not pregnant or breastfeeding, it may affect ovulation and fertility thus causing infertility.

Another cause of infertility in women is poor eggs quality. The eggs that develop genetic abnormalities or are damaged cannot sustain a pregnancy. The older a woman is also the higher the risk of being infertile.

Overactive thyroid gland, underactive thyroid glands, some chronic conditions including AIDS and or cancer may cause infertility.

Other causes of infertility in women include thyroid problems, disorders of the thyroid gland, either too much thyroid hormone (hyperthyroidism) or too little hypothyroidism can interrupt the menstrual cycle of a women and cause infertility.

The doctors in German also recently discovered that cancer and its treatment may cause infertility. Certain cancers, particularly female reproductive cancers, often impair female fertility and affect a woman’s ability to produce. The doctors further aver that both radiation and chemotherapy may affect a woman’s reproductive system, rendering it infertile.
