Government finds partner to reconstruct National Airline

As the country fights to have back a national carrier in the names of Uganda airlines that collapsed some time back, govt is now considering going into partnership with a private carrier company to have the Uganda flag fly on that particular airline to mark as the national airline.

Speaking to the works minister, James Abraham Byandala about the matter, he reveals that its quite expensive to operate an airline service as most companies are now making losses which now prompts the Ugandan govt to go into partnership which he says will work for the nation.

Byandala also confirms that govt is in high plans to revamp the Soroti flying school after its ownership was handed over to Uganda by the EAC giving the country more power to manage the facility into a better one for the country and region

In a related development, the Civil Aviation A managing director, Dr. Rama Makuza adds that they are also planning to rehabilitate Nakasongola airstrip to a better facility to help support the Entebbe airport.

Entebbe airport alone moves in 1.4 million foreign passengers every year
