Exiled Ugandan intelligence coordinator, Gen. David Sejusa has been sited in the Democratic Republic of Congo, bringing fear in sections Uganda’s ruling party, the National Resistance Movement (NRM) that the military man could be seriously recruiting rebels to topple president Museveni’s government.
The External Security Organisation of Uganda (ESO) reported to president Museveni last week that Gen Sejusa met several leaders of African Union and some leaders from Uganda in Ethiopia before leaving for Malawi.
It is not clear whether Malawi was his final destination as some reliable sources in intelligence told Museveni that he was most likely heading to Angola and later Kinshasha in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
It is further said that Sejusa recently met with Col. Kizza Besigye and former Ugandan Vice President Prof. Bukenya Gilbert in London. Bukenya refused to confirm the meeting. Sejusa has lately met several leaders some are youth leaders in the Democratic Party.
