Condoms are among the barrier methods women use to prevent unwanted pregnancies. But some women say that they use condoms and they become pregnant.

In this article, Dr. Aisha Lukwago of Clinic on AIDS Research explains why condoms and other birth control methods may fail. CONDOM BREAKAGE:  She says condom breakage or even a smallest tear can lead to pregnancy.

Causes of condom breakage include, improper use, inadequate use of water-based lubricants, using expired condoms, improper storage, having jewelry on while handling condoms, long finger nails and other objects that may cause tear.
