Government asked to intervene in land wrangle

Government is asked to immediately come out and find a lasting solution to the residents of Ntuusi Sub County over a dispute of about 4.5 square miles of land reportedly bought by Gen Salim Saleh’s sister-in-law and are being evicted.

The Land in question accommodates over 2,500 residents and they claim that they have ownership of the Land and therefore they cannot be evicted.

Area Member of parliament Theodora Sekikubo while addressing Journalists at Parliament with about 15 affected residents said Government must come and restrain People like Kellen Kayonga Sister in Law to Salim Saleh who want to turn their wrath to innocent Ugandans.

Accompanied by Buyaga County West Member of parliament Banabus Tinkasiimiire said Parliament had intervened and stopped the eviction and wondered how Kellen Kayonga went against the parliamentary decision to continue evicting people from their land with the help of Security Agents.
