While using a razor, avoid stretching the skin. Before shaving, the skin should be examined carefully for hairs growing inwards, which could be lifted with alcohol-cleaned needle.
A tooth brush or a rough cloth may occasionally be used to loosen ingrowing hairs before shaving. Don’t puck or tweeze ingrowing hair.
It is also advisable to first soften the hair by using warm water and then lather or shaving cream for several minutes before shaving.
The shaving should always be carried out in the direction of hair growth. You should also avoid shaving the same area more than twice.
Hair bumps should not be picked or squeezed. Tea tree oil after shaves may help you to prevent razor bumps.
