Kasese district woman MP Winnie Kiiza has described president Museveni as a bandit and a crook. Let us look back before Museveni took over the political leadership of Uganda, the MP says, Uganda was an agricultural hub.

In 1986 Museveni came to power with a promise of fundamental change across the country. Kiiza says that indeed the people of Uganda have witnessed the fundamental change….for instance what happened to Uganda’s vibrant economy?

She says that Uganda was an agricultural hub before Museveni’s reign but today Ugandans are in sobs as even the only cotton sector that had remained in the country died.

Uganda had Lint Marketing Board, Produce Marketing Board, Coffee Marketing Board, a functioning railway network, air transport, tourism destination and the country had fuel reserves but all this glory is now a ‘thing’ of the past.

The MP says that Uganda now is known for tribal conflicts, corruption, state engineered murder, torture of opposition supporters and hosting a hub of poor people.
