Following his refusal to apologize for crimes that have never been particularized, President Museveni has reportedly sanctioned political machinations to oust the Lord Mayor of Kampala, Erias Lukwago before the end of 2013.
Since Justice Zehurikize ruled that the current Authority (Council) lacks legal capacity to impeach the Lord Mayor of Kampala because it is not fully constituted, Dr. Badru Kigundu has been directed to conduct snap elections for Councilors representing the four professional bodies.

The ‘sham’ election is scheduled for 19th November at Hotel Africana in Kampala and it’s only the Executive Committee members of those bodies-ranging between 8 to 10 – who shall constitute the electoral colleges.

When contacted Lukwago said it is a pity that even the governing council of the Uganda Law Society, which had initially contested the legality of the said elections has been finally cajoled into this fraudulent exercise.
He says that several practicing advocates petitioned for an extra ordinary general assembly to handle the same but up to now a notice to that effect has not been issued. Lukwago further revealed that he has got information that Museveni wants him out of the mayoral office between November 20^th to 25^th, 2013.
