Government directs radios never to host Erias Lukwago

The Kampala Resident City Commissioner Mpimbaza Hashaka has reportedly written to Radio Akaboozi management directing it never to host the Lord Mayor of Kampala Erias Lukwago on any of its talk shows and also to stop airing the morning talk show hosted by Basajja Mivule.
We hear the letter was copied to the directors of radio Akaboozi and Kampala line Minister Frank Tumwebaze. This comes after the Lord mayor appeared on Monday 4th November Talk show hosted by Mivule in which he rubbished the Government’s wicked plot to impeach him after the Electoral Commission organising elections of councilors representing special professional bodies.
However lawyers wonder where Mpimbaza arrogates power to decide who to appear on radio talk shows and who shouldn’t. The legal minds think it is high time the government comes up and end the ‘madness.’
The lawyers ask whether Lukwago is now an outlawed figure deemed unfit to be in society by a competent court that his feature on radio could cause further constitutional malaise. Efforts to speak to Hashaka were futile by press time.
