Uganda human rights commission fails explain why it underperformed.

Officials from Uganda human rights commission today failed to explain why the body under performed in its budget for year the ended June 2011 and 2012 yet it received 9 billion shillings of the budget from the ministry of fiancé, while appearing before public accounts committee of parliament.
According to auditor general’s report for year ended June 30 2011 and 2012, the statistics indicate that commission under performed in terms of budget with only 36% performance in 2011 and 22% in 2012
In response the permanent secretary to the commission Gordon Mwesigye attributed its poor budget performance to late realize of funds to the body.
He however said that the statistics used by Auditor general in its report are not right, because the commission did not perform that poorly.
The committee vice chair Paul Mwiru says, the committee has demanded the commission to bring documents showing that, it actually received the monies very late on Monday next week.
