National council for higher education has finally recognized 10 Kampala International University PHDs out of the 19 that were submitted to scrutiny last year following reports that they were not up to standard.
According to the chairman of the council, Prof. Asubo Opuda, the university did a lot of work to this effect which saw the council compile final reports that the institution has satisfied all the basic that were set by the council.
However, Prof. Asubo cautions the university to follow the remaining processes to honor the students with the PHDs that have been okayed today.Cue.Asubo.Eng.
Meanwhile, the vice chancellor of the university, Prof. P. Tibenderena, they are giving up to December to the student who had not completed with their work to quickly to do so but also mentions that those who will call for more time will be catered for.
Last year the national council for higher education counseled out 69 PHDs which were waiting to be awarded to KIU students sighting poor standards.
