With the real estate development sector growing very fast in Uganda, a
few Ugandans of high income earning jobs can afford a property from
these developers and those with low incomes left out to life In poor
environment.
But the lands and housing minister, Daudi Migereko is
calling on real estate developers to think of having low cost houses
so as to cater for the low income earners.
Migereko says the sector will not receive further growth if it is only
catering for the rich and leaving out the poor who sometimes want to
buy property from real estate.
A Ugandan who wishes to acquire property from real estate has to part
with UGX. 100M and above which a poor Ugandan can not afford.
