General Sejusa’s seat declared vacant.

General David Sejusa,s seat in parliament has been declared vacant following his failure to come back from exile.

This came after parliament has adopted The parliamentary committee on rules privileges and discipline report
recommendation to have General David Sejjusa’s seat in
parliament declared vacant.
The report was presented to parliament by the committee chairperson Fox Odoi during the plenary.
Odoi while presenting the report said that the committee tried to reach out to sejjusa but he failed to appear before the committee.
He also said that the committee in its investigation found out that sejjusa’s continued absence from parliament for more than 15 sittings contravened the law.
The committee has also recommended for the initiation of the process for his replacement and have a new UPDF member of parliament
