The salvation army- a religious faith based community in Uganda has asked Ugandans to embrace God more in all their
deeds so as to rid the country of unwanted behaviours.
Addressing a news conference in Kampala, the leader of the salvation army in Uganda Colonel Benjamin Muyambi expressed concern over what he calls so many trying moments in the country including greed for power and corruption
among others.
Muyambi says its now the duty of every Ugandan to play a role by turning to God to make Uganda a better place.
He also took the occasion to announce the coming of the world leader of the salvation army gen. Andre’ Cox along with his wife commissioner Sylvia Cox to Uganda to encourage and motivate followers.
According to Muyambi, the visiting delegation is expected in the country tomorrow to address salvation army gatherings and over the week end reach out to the youth and women of Bumbo in Manafwa district.
He says the salvation army community resolved to host their leader in Bumbo since majority of their followers are in that area.
The salvation army with the belief “Saved to Serve”was first introduced in Uganda through the eastern region in 1931.
