Speaker kadaga told committees to speed up work before chrismas break.

The speaker Rebecca kadaga has directed all the chairpersons of the committee to work on all the pending bills before the committees and then present their reports before the house breaks off for the Christmas recess.
Kadaga says that, some committees have over stayed the Bills which have affected the work of parliament.
Some of the delayed bills include, Anti homosexual Bill that was privately sponsored by Ndorwa west mp David Bahati in 2009, even the speaker kadaga promising Ugandans that it will act as a Christmas gift.
Other bills pending are Anti-pornography Bill, HIV/AIDS prevention and control Bill, Anti Narcotics Bill, the Anti-money laundering Bill, Geographical Indications Bill, Chattels Security Bill, Plant variety Protection Bill, Plant Protection and Health Bill and the Uganda National Metrological Authority Bill among others.
Kadaga says that the leader of opposition and the Government chief whip should ensure that the bills are worked on.
