The embattled Buburo west Tonny Kipoi’s legal team have requested for an adjournment for the hearing of the case of the mp by the parliamentary committee on rules privileges and discipline.
The request was contained in the letter from Mbidde and co advocates
to the committee chairperson Fox Odoi.
They asked the committee to extend at least to 4th December when the
head of the legal team and one who has personal conduct of matter Fred
Mukasa Mbidde will be available.
The chairperson of the committee however said that the decision for an
adjournment will be taken in the committees sitting tomorrow.
Odoi however says that they still expect Kipoi or his lawyers to
appear before the committee tomorrow and ask for an adjournment
orally.
Meanwhile the committee is also expected to meet the NRM chief whip,
the chairperson of the committee on defense and internal affairs and
the chairperson of the parliamentary committee on commissions’ state
authorities and state enterprises.
