Police blocks erecting Museveni’s effigies

 

Police in Kampala have outlawed the use of effigies that potray president Museveni as unwanted and bad.

The police spokesperson Judith Nabakooba says effigies may be a security threat.

The force say that Museveni is a senior citizen of Uganda  therefore erecting his dummies with an aim of bringing down his reputation is bad.

The development follows an effigy that the people of Kawempe in Kampala had erected that was potraying Museveni beating a pregnant woman.  Nabakooba says the inspector Genral of police Kale Kayihura banned the use of effigies in negative aspects.
