Americans have also cited intimidation and coercion on the people of northern Uganda during the period LRA rebels of Joseph Kony were still very active in northern Uganda.
The former undersecretary of UN official, Olala Otunu says the Acholi minority were victims of break-ins of Uganda soldiers while attempting to end the LRA insurgency.
Tiffany Gravel, the American director of films also says that in 2006 he walked across mass graves in northern Uganda, through an inferno of burning huts and across a field of bodies that were just left to decompose reportedly by a Uganda government that didn’t care enough to bury them.
He further gives a story about how the Ugandan government stripped the Acholi minority from their homes, and those who declined move were killed.
