The Conflict, Security and Development Group (CSDG)/Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) Peace and Security Fellowships are funded by the UK Department for International Development (DFID).
The Programme brings together five West Africans in the early stages of their career to undertake a carefully designed MA and training programme in Conflict, Security and Development at King’s College London.
This training will conclude with an attachment to the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) Commission and related institutions to acquire practical experience in the field of peace and security.
The Programme lasts 18 months. The first part of the Programme entails full-time study at King’s College London, where successful candidates pursue an MA Conflict, Security and Development and attend specifically designed training courses on African peace and security.
The second part of the Conflict, Security and Development Group (CSDG)/Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) Peace and Security Fellowship will be based at the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) Commission and related institutions, where participants on the programme will be based for a minimum period of 6 months.
The Fellowships start Sept/Oct every year.
